Skip left us yesterday.
Light easterly breeze made for a crosswind launch. I decided to inflate across the runway and turn 70 degrees down once the wing was stable. It came off without a hitch.
Nice flight. I saw what could have been a tangle in the right upper cascade but the wing looked good … no deformity. Out of an abundance of caution , I kept my turns flat and slow.

Aborted first launch when I discovered that I had not moved the wing bag to the side. It was caught in the upper cascade just center right. I could feel the bag flapping in the right brake toggle.
Winds were very light and I was able to re-set in the opposite direction and launch cleanly. The wing was a little damp but manageable.
Am experimenting with the IPad mounted to the right on the wing bag container.

Nice flight .
Climbed to 5100 ft AGL and enjoyed the chill… until I didn’t. No Drama. WTS toggle line was a little conflicted which caused a slight pull to the left on take-off but not enough to abort. As soon as I was up and climbing I sorted it out.
The Saharan sand plume has mostly moved on and tomorrow is a possibility depending on if Skip and I are going to church.

Deceptive … It was dead calm at the surface and blowing 15 above 50ft. I was surprised to be flying 35mph immediately after launch. Conditions were bumpy and getting stronger as I climbed to 900ft. Descending to 350 it mellowed out but over the next 10 minutes the wind continued to build and so I opted to land while the getting was good. No Drama…
