July 19 to July 23
Today I aborted because it just didn’t feel right. The winds were light and variable, there was a boomer over Gasparilla Island and I was feeling clumsy . It would have probably been all right and by the time I had decided to pack it up ….
It was looking a lot more doable. Oh well….
It was the right decision. The last two days have been magical air and absolutely flawless flight. No surprises or complications of any kind. Plus there was the moonshiners Fly-in coming up just next week. Why risk it?
Tech note
I’m messing with the brakes. Making the WTS toggle longer so I can feel the main brake and how much pressure it requires. If I run into Andrew Fuller at the Fly-in , maybe he can take it home for inspection and tuning.
